American Escrow Association
The American Escrow Association is a national trade association of escrow and settlement industry professionals. The association prides itself on being the representative of its member states and individual members in the escrow and settlement industry. Their several thousand members, located primarily in escrow states, facilitate real property closings involving billions of dollars annually. AEA’s goals are to further the knowledge and professionalism of the escrow settlement professional through education and to advise decision makers in the federal government on issues of consequence to the escrow settlement industry.
For over 25 years, AEA has been a working association—the officers, board of directors and members either sit a desk or manage those who do. On a daily basis, they deal with the myriad of details involved in closing real property transactions, coordinating the key elements with buyers, sellers, borrowers, lenders, mortgage brokers, real estate professionals, title agents, attorneys, county clerk and recorders and so many more. They are keenly aware of the changes technology has brought to the workplace and with those changes come new challenges; not only for escrow professionals, but those they work with.
